The perfect gift for the little (or big) Scientist in your life, this scientific model demonstrates how solar power is converted to mechanical energy using only the sun. The brighter the sunshine the faster the elements spin!

A stunning design that will look great on any shelf, bookcase or desk.

Invented in 1873 by the chemist Sir William Crookes, Solar Radiometer consists of an airtight glass bulb containing a partial vacuum. Inside is a set of vanes which are mounted on a spindle. When exposed to light, the vanes rotate; with more intense light, the vanes spin faster, providing a quantitative measurement of electromagnetic radiation intensity.

Although the principles of how Solar Radiometers work may seem very scientific, with our modern redesigns, they are unique and engaging house and office decors with great functionalities!
